Hayes: Lois Mildred Thompson, age 94, died October 11, 2009.

Lois was born June 17, 1915 in Gloucester County to the late Luther B. and Flora Willing Sears. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. Lois was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother and a devoted sister. She lived her life with grace, kindness and generosity.

She will be deeply missed and always remembered by everyone who knew her.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James L. Thompson; and son, James L. Thompson, Jr.; sisters and brothers.

She is survived by:

grandson: Scott Thompson

granddaughters: Sheila Rilee

Delores Rilee Alexander

great granddaughter: Ashley Alexander Motley

sister: Hazel Dykes

Funeral services officiated by Reverend W. Donald Ambrose will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow at Windsor Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
